Filth was formed in 1995, partially as a response to the ridiculous trend of serious black metal attitudes in the underground scene at the time. Inspired by 80s grindcore, 70s rock, and a range of other noisy influences, Filth released their debut demo tape “Clitoral Vision” in August 1995. This contained 11 tracks of eclectic and groovy grindcore which the band referred to as “white trash wankin’ grind rock.”

Adam Played bass and did some backing vocals on this release under the guise of THE COLD FISH. The demo sold very well through the underground scene and a Japanese pressing was released by Obliteration Records. Tracks from the demo were also allegedly featured on several underground compilation tapes. Filth launched the “Clitoral Vision” demo with a successful gig, but line-up hassles soon left Spanky and Felch Beast as the sole members of the band.

Filth apparently continues to release music.
